SOME homes around Marlow are expected to suffer flooding today.

Houses are at risk in some parts of the area nearest to the river - which continues to rise due to unremitting rainfall.

The warning comes from The Environment Agency, which says it expects more showers through until tomorrow at least.

Gossmore Park is flooded, while Firview Close is among the streets affected.

Longridge outdoor activities centre, which was hit by severe flooding just weeks ago, could be in an even worse position now.

Director Amanda Foister said this morning two of its buildings are under water, with the main office under severe threat.

Marlow FM, also based at the Quarry Wood Road site, is also trying to stave off the high waters.

Tim Ashburner, founder of the radio station, said: "This is much worse than the last time."

The EA's latest statement read: "River levels are slowly rising on the River Thames in response to recent rainfall and will continue to rise over the next 24 hours.

"It is currently expected that the Thames will rise to simliar levels as seen in November 2012.

"Property flooding is expected for isolated properties in low lying areas adjacent to the river."
