The awards have been organised by Chiltern District Council
THERE’S still time to recognise an outstanding youngster in the Chiltern district by nominating them for the annual Chiltern Young People Awards.
Now in their seventh year, the awards give residents the chance to celebrate and recognise the amazing range of talent in the district.
Nominations have to be in by Friday January 11, ahead of an award ceremony at Chesham’s Elgiva Theatre on Tuesday March 13.
The awards have been organised by Chiltern District Council, whose cabinet member for young people, leisure, community and communications Mimi Harker said: “If you know of an amazing young person out there who gives their all to their community then we want to know about them. Nominate them for an award and make sure they are recognised for the fantastic work they do.”
The award categories are for community champion, courage, cultural, environmental, healthy lifestyle, young carer, young entrepreneurship and academic.
They are free to enter and are open to young people between the ages of eight-21 who live, study and work in Chiltern District.
To nominate someone, and for more information on the awards, go to www.chiltern.gov.uk/youngpeopleawards2012.
Nomination forms can also be collected from Chiltern District Council’s offices in King George V Road, Amersham.
