A CORONER has revealed that the two boys and aunt who were tragically killed on the M6 on Christmas Day died from extensive head injuries.

Ian Smith, coroner for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire has opened and adjourned the inquests into the deaths of Mohammed Arsalaan Habib, four, Adnan Habib, 10, and their aunt Bushra Tazarib, 32.

All three were from High Wycombe and were on their way to a wedding in the Manchester area when the accident happened.

Their mother, who was driving the car, and another female were admitted to hospital but were released the following day.

The boys were both pupils at Hughenden Primary School, which expressed its sadness at the tragedy this week.

The funerals of Adnan and Mohammed will be held this afternoon, after mosque prayers. The funeral of Bushra will take place in Pakistan.
