TAXI drivers are on alert after cash and satellite navigation devices were stolen from vehicles during a Christmas spree.
Thieves smashed the driver window of six cars parked in Abercromby Avenue, Whitelands Road, Tenzing Drive, Adelaide Road and Peterborough Avenue between December 27 and 29, stealing from four.
Superintendant Gilbert Houalla, said: “We are investigating a crime series in which offenders targeted six cars in High Wycombe.
“Officers investigating these incidents have carried out house-to-house enquiries and are also searching through CCTV to identify the offenders.
“This might sound insignificant, but to have your car broken into and know that someone has looked through your belonging can be distressing.
“It not only feels intrusive but can also result in an increase in your insurance premiums. Please don’t make it easy for thieves, or you could lose more than loose change.”
Contact police on the non-emergency 101 enquiry line with any information or, alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
