THE company behind plans to build a new high speed railway line through the county is looking for expert advice from Bucks-based property management firms.
HS2 Ltd, set up as part of the £32bn project to construct a new line linking London and Birmingham, is turning to experts in commercial development and urban regeneration based along the route of the line for their help.
With the railway controversially set to cut through the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty, HS2 Ltd is looking for expert help from people based in Buckinghamshire.
The company says the move will increase their knowledge of the areas the line is scheduled to pass through and "boost confidence among local people".
Liz Hurst, HS2 Ltd’s Head of Land and Property, said: "We are looking for firms with local and national expertise who can help us with property management, surveying, valuation, development and regeneration services.
"We want to create opportunities for local and small business contractors and we are interested in learning more about both large and small companies with the skills that will be needed on HS2."
Many people in Bucks are opposed to the project, with the county council and the four district councils all contributing taxpayers' money towards the cost of a Judicial Review into the scheme.
