Affordable housing scheme proposed in Little Chalfont

PLANS for a new housing development which will include affordable housing have been put forward.

A total of 15 houses - five of which will be affordable - and blocks containing 32 flats would be built in Little Chalfont if the plans are given the green light.

More than half of the flats would be made affordable, according to the developer behind the scheme.

The planning application, to redevelop land known as the Donkey Field in Burtons Lane, has been submitted to Chiltern District Council by Hertfordshire company PPML Consulting Ltd.

A decision on whether to grant planning permission is due to be made by the council in March.

Affordable housing is often rented out by a local authority or social landlord, or is made available to buy at a cheaper than usual rate.
