Search is on for outstanding businesses in Bucks Ambassador Awards
3:20pm Friday 11th January 2013 in News
THE search is underway for the most outstanding companies the county has to offer as The Bucks Ambassadors Awards continue to welcome nominations.
The awards, organised by Buckinghamshire Business First, are Bucks’ leading business accolades and this year will be held at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre on May 23.
Businesses from across the county are being encouraged to enter the awards and the range of categories means that there are opportunities for organisation of all sizes.
Previous winners include Mike Clare of Dreams and Ceri-Jane Hackling of Cerub PR, who won Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.
She said: “Winning the award was a huge honour and was a great boost for the whole team. It was fantastic to be recognised for all the work we’ve put in over the past nine years and really helped to raise our profile within the area.”
Alex Pratt, Chairman of Buckinghamshire Business First, added: “As a previous winner, I can tell you that to win an Enterprise Award in the Entrepreneurial Heart of Britain puts you head and shoulders above others.
"We should not be surprised that despite very difficult economic conditions, more businesses start and more jobs are created in Bucks than anywhere else in the country.”
This year’s categories include:
• Innovator of the Year sponsored by Pinewood Studios
• Charity and Community
• Excellence in Customer Service sponsored by Ringway Jacobs
• Best Small Business
• Rural Business
• Green Business
• International Trader
• Apprentice Employer sponsored by Buckinghamshire County Council
• Company of the Year* sponsored by Wycombe District Council
• Entrepreneur of the Year* sponsored by Obit Telecom
