Snow update: Motorists urged to leave cars at home but Blues game is on Snow update: Motorists urged to leave cars at home but Blues game is on

MOTORISTS are being urged to leave their vehicles at home today unless it is absolutely necessary.

The Met Office had predicted snow would fall over Friday night and throughout Saturday – but that forecast has now been revised, with more of the white stuff not predicted to hit south Bucks until Sunday morning.

But the Met Office has issued warnings about icy roads and pavements, and continued sub-zero temperatures.

Transport for Buckinghamshire is advising residents to ‘take care’ if they have to make vital journeys in their vehicles.

Chiltern Railways is running a regular timetable but TfB warned some bus services could be disrupted and pointed residents towards its Traveline, on 0871 200 22 33, for regular updates.

Chief Inspector Colin Seaton added: “Officers are working hard to make sure that these residents are well, feel safe and have someone to contact should they need anything.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to urge motorists to only use their cars if absolutely necessary due to the severe weather conditions today.

“In view of heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures, we are advising people to take steps to keep themselves safe.

"Before setting out, drivers are being asked to check the road conditions and ask themselves whether their journey is absolutely necessary.”

But Wycombe Wanderers game against Dagenham & Redbridge at Adams Park today goes ahead after the pitch passed an inspection and club staff and fans cleared snow from around the stadium.

With the big freeze affecting big sporting events across the country, season ticket holders at other football clubs can claim 50 percent of a ticket for the Blues game on producing their season ticket.

Walking past mothercare, back of the Falcon pub on your right, photographer was probably next to Royal Bank of Scotland.

He would have waited for the thighs to go - remember he 'had' to 'avert his eyes' at a small girl?

I feel sad for the camera man who probably sat in cold for hours looking for a special shot, and then he was thighs happy with the outcome.

But that's how you attract us in order to exercise female choice in the reproductive process.

(We all look at you and go 'phwoarr!' and you lot think: 'well he looks a bit whatever but that one's all right - I think I'll have him.')

I hope the young man in the blue hoodie gave her a good ... warming up as soon as they were indoors.

(The women on either side have already completed that part of life and are better insulated than the bloke in the hoodie - they are more interested in keeping warm.)
