Human head sculpture wows Wycombe shoppers
12:16pm Monday 28th January 2013 in News
A TEN foot sculpture of a human head stopped Wycombe shoppers in their tracks this weekend.
The work of art was created entirely out of waste material by a team led by artist educator Michelle Reader in the Eden shopping centre on Saturday.
It was part of a project supported by the Buckinghamshire University Technical College (UTC), which specialises in construction and IT courses for youngsters aged between 14 and 19 years old.
Ms Reader: “Getting people to work together is a fantastic way of encouraging individuals to make a transition and reach their full potential. It shows the possibilities that lie within us all.”
Bucks UTC is hosting an event explaining its IT specialism at Aylesbury College on January 29 from 5pm. A further session on its construction courses will be held on February 4 from 5pm.
