Accident involving bus and car in High Wycombe
TWO men have been injured following a collision between a bus and a car in High Wycombe.
Fire crews were called to Cressex Road at the junction with Coronation Road following the collision between a Hyundai MPV and an Arriva bus at about 12.22pm.
Firemen had to cut out the bus steering wheel and the roof of the car to release the drivers who were placed into the care of the South Central Ambulance Service with back injuries.
Watch manager Eamonn Eddowes of High Wycombe Fire Station said: “The bus was travelling across Coronation Road to the link road and the car was heading along Cressex Road to the roundabout.
“Both vehicles were badly damaged but neither man appeared to be seriously injured but you can never tell with back injuries.”
The Bucks Free Press’ live travel feed is warning of debris covering the road, which could cause minor delays to commuters.
