CCTV released after three burglaries took place during one night in Marlow
5:26pm Thursday 31st January 2013 in News By Rebecca Cain
POLICE have released CCTV images after three burglaries took place during one night in Marlow.
Between the evening of Friday, January 18 and Saturday morning there were burglaries at three different addresses.
Police would like to speak to the man in the images as they believe he may be able to help their enquiries.
Officers are linking the first two due to the method of entry and the time they took place.
Between 9pm and 9.11am burglars gained entry to a house in Spring Gardens through the front door and stole a handbag and £20.
Between 10pm and 9am offenders broke into a house in Herons Place through the front door, where they stole a black leather jacket, BlackBerry mobile phone, Acer laptop and Apple iPad.
Between 3.15am and 3.45am on Saturday morning offenders broke into a business in Liston Court by smashing a large glass window and stole four mobile phones.
A witness saw a man running way from the area towards Cromwell Gardens.
He was white, aged between 25 and 30-years-old and wearing a dark woollen hat, light coloured tracksuit and possibly a brown jacket.
Officers would like to remind residents of the importance of double locking all doors and windows, both when they are away from the house, but also during the evening and night when the majority of these offences are taking place.
Leave all keys including house and car keys out of sight and away and out of reach of any windows or letterboxes.
PC Alex Kratky of Local CID at High Wycombe police station said: "We are interested in speaking to the man in the images as we believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries."
Anyone with information should call the Thames Valley Police 24-hour non-emergency single number 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org

It clearly says;
"Police would like to speak to the man in the images as they believe he may be able to help their enquiries"
And then later in the article says;
" A witness saw a man running way from the area towards Cromwell Gardens.
He was white, aged between 25 and 30-years-old and wearing a dark woollen hat, light coloured tracksuit and possibly a brown jacket."
Unless I am mistaken, nowhere does it actually link the two.

To be quite honest it was a bit pathetic putting this picture up."
are Just so unhelpful. You probably have no idea how much police time and effort was put in trawling through hours of footage to try and find some sort of lead to assist with a prosecution. If YOU were the victim of this burglary, would you not like to think the police would do the same? Explore every and any avenue. I know I would. Or should they just not bother?
I have no personal knowledge of this particular investigation , but my advice would be, if you don't have anything useful to comment on that may assist then don't comment at all.
The police have a hard enough job as it is, without people belittling an active enquiry of which they have NO place to do so.
Grow up.

It's very sad to read comments from small minded individuals who deem it appropriate to belittle the police when they are investigating a crime as serious as burglary. They quite clearly have no regard for how this type of crime leaves the victim feeling.
I for one applaud the investigating officers for their determination and hard work in trying to bring the offender to justice.

I guess that whilst carrying out this valid enquiry the police/ victim will be very interested to read your ever so helpful comments.
Once again well done you must be so proud of yourself. I only hope that you never find yourself the victim of crime and put up with such infantile behaviour

Thanks GM_go_ahead for your supporting words. Hopefully people, such as yourself are not put off by inappropriate comments on what is clearly a genuine police enquiry and with the publics help, the victims of these disgusting crimes can get the closure they deserve.
FYI Miccles - just because GM_go_ahead happens to agree with my point of view, it does not mean that we are friends. Although saying that, I am much more likely to get on with him/her as he/she has not resorted to telling me to "shut up" nor call me "plod" and what I can only assume is an obscenity containing two asterisks in the middle of a 'P' and a 'T' . Really? Or maybe you just hit the wrong keys on your keyboard.
