THE housing association which took over 6,700 homes in Wycombe has moved to a new base.

Red Kite Community Housing spent its first year at Wycombe District Council's offices after buying the stock in December 2011.

Yesterday, it opened a new chapter with its first day at the new offices in Windsor Court, Kingsmead Business Park, High Wycombe.

Tenants and leaseholders are this week being reminded to contact staff at the new headquarters.

Red Kite Chief Executive Trevor Morrow has said the terms of the deal are subject to confidentiality.

But he stressed the company would be paying significantly less for its new ten year lease than the rate at the council offices and called it a value for money agreement.

I expect that rents will now go down as Red Kite is not paying such high office rents in the Town Centre any more?

A nice looking building, I hope it's in better condition than one particular flat at Anglesey Court, Stokenchurch.
This tenant has had partial flooding within his home caused by a blocked sewage pipe from outside, Redkite seem to absolve themselves of any responsibility over this, the internal damage, the smell! still lingers on after eighteen weeks. No compensation for damaged personal property..(Carpet etc) This tenant had already been moved from a recent property riddled in damp only to be confronted by this, he has serious health issues affecting his breathing, I have examined this flat and find water /damp in almost every room, a frying pan in the kitchen is emptied 3 times per week of water. Severe damp in the clothing wardrobe causing damp clothing..everything about this flat 'Oozies health hazards.

I will add a comment about redkite, they are not all bad, certain health and safety issues have been dealt with such as outside lighting and leveling of a pathway. Plus they supplied a gritting bin for our use.
