POLICE have arrested a 17-year-old after a fan jumped on the back of  Wanderers goalkeeper Jordan Archer in the closing stages of their win at Gillingham last night.

A fan ran from the home end at Priestfield and jumped on Archer's back as the keeper was placing the ball on the ground to take a goalkick.

Archer was unhurt in the incident, which happened in injury time of Wanderers' 1-0 win.

In a statement Kent Police said: "A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody following an incident in the 93rd minute of the Gillingham v Wycombe match last night."

The supporter's actions were condemned by both managers in their post match press conferences.

And angry Gillingham supporters have named the youth on football messageboards and social media websites.
