HMV’S administrators have announced 66 stores will close over the next two months – but the High Wycombe store will not be one of them.

Deloitte said 66 of the 220 HMV stores have been earmarked for closure - affecting about 930 jobs - in a bid to secure the music chain’s future.

But the Wycombe store in the Eden shopping centre is not on that list.

Hilco bought HMV’s debt from its lenders after the firm went into administration in January. The move could eventually see Hilco take full control of the company, as it already owns HMV Canada.

Good news, but how about having a much better selection of classical and jazz music ? The current selection does not encourage me to go in the shop.
