A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy who suffers from a rare brain disorder was brought to tears when he got the chance to meet his favourite pop group JLS.

Jason Westfallen, of Waller Road, Beaconsfield, has spent most of his young life fighting for health and was granted his dream wish by charity Rays of Sunshine.

Mum Donna Daly, 31, said: “It was brilliant because he’s a massive JLS fan. Whenever he’s having treatment in hospital he’s listening to their music.

“He was so overwhelmed when he met them he was crying.”

The Butlers Court School pupil, who needs splints to walk, suffered from an abnormality in his bone marrow called myelodysplastic syndrome [formerly known as preleukemia], for which he received a transplant in 2007.

But his struggle didn’t stop there and doctors have since struggled to diagnose a rare brain disorder initially thought to be leukodystrophy.

Donna, who also took son Lucas and daughter Shannon to meet the boy band on January 31, heaped praise on Rays of Sunshine and Sebastian’s Action Trust, which have been helping Jason for several years.
