A CONVERSATION between two spectators at last year’s Olympic Games has led to a new running event in Beaconsfield.
John Irwin, chairman of Burnham Joggers, got chatting to Beaconsfield Town Council leader Alan Walters during the rowing events at Dorney Lake last summer.
John’s group already organises Burnham Beeches Half Marathon and Cliveden Cross Country each year, and the pair came up with the idea of a five-mile race through the historic Hall Barn Estate, which is normally closed to the public.
The event will be staged on Easter Monday, which falls on April 1. For details see: http://b5.burnhamjoggers.org.uk/
