NICK Heyward, Black Box and The Beat have been announced to play at this year's Penn Festival.

The three day family friendly music festival in Penn Street is no in its third year and will take place from July 19-21.

The Selector, Neville Staple from The Specials, Space, The Blockheads, D:Ream and Doctor and The Medics will also be performing.

This year, once again, there will also be a selection of exciting new bands performing.

As well as live music there will be street theatre, free creative workshops, circus skills workshops, children’s entertainment, arts based stalls, free Reggae music workshops and lots more.

There will be a disco tent with guest DJ to continue the party once the bands have come off stage.

For refreshments there will be a beer tent with a full range of wines and ales and a good selection of food stalls including wood fired pizza, noodle bar, Indian and homemade ice creams. Camping will be available on site with hot showers in the camping area again and a new ‘quieter camping’ family zone complete with fairylights.

The festival will take place at The Big Park, Horsemoor Lane in Penn Street on land owned by Lord and Countess Howe.
