MAIL delivery routes are being altered in Amersham - meaning the time residents receive their post could change.

Royal Mail say changes are being planned to make delivery routes more efficient, with the number of letters being sent by its staff decreasing.

Some residents may receive their post earlier than they do currently and others could get their mail later in the day due to the proposed alterations.

Royal Mail’s Collection and Delivery Sector Manager Terry Bodsworth said: "We are proud of the high regard in which our postmen and women are held in Amersham. The changes to delivery routes will mean that a member of our local and experienced team will still be delivering to our customers in Amersham.

"The local delivery team and I are fully committed to providing a high quality of service that is as reliable and friendly as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail in Amersham over many years."

Every resident and business in Amersham should soon receive a letter outlining details of the changes.
