Pedestrian dies after car crash
A MAN who was involved in a collision with a car as he crossed the road has died, police said this evening.
The pedestrian, 50, was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after the accident on a pedestrian crossing in New Road, Walters Ash, on February 19, and has now passed away.
Police revealed tonight he died on Monday evening and have asked for witnesses to come forward.
The driver of the blue Peugeot 206 stopped at the scene after the collision and has been interviewed by police.
Police want to speak to witnesses, particularly the driver of the car who was in front of the Peugeot.
Anyone with any information should contact PC Colin Riley via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
If you don't want to speak directly to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
