Wanderers' winding up petition: clarification
IN today’s edition of the Bucks Free Press we said on our front page strap headline that ‘Taxman issues Wanderers with winding up order’.
The club has asked us to clarify that the correct terminology is a ‘winding up petition’.
Wanderers currently have until March 25 to pay outstanding debts. Only at that point could there be a winding up order, which would be handed down by a court judge – a ‘taxman’ is unable to issue such an order.
The club has said it is confident it can achieve this deadline.
