PART of the M40 is shut this afternoon after a car hit the central reservation.
Two lanes between junction 2 Beaconsfield and junction 1a of the M25 turn off going towards London have been closed after the accident at 4pm.
Some oil from the Vauxhall corsa was spilt across the motorway, with a clean up operation taking place to remove this and debris from the car.
The Highways Agency, police and the ambulance service have been attending.
Police said one woman had suffered an arm injury and reported at 5.08pm that the car had been moved to the lay by.
The Highways Agency reported it was only a slight injury and only one car was involved.
The lanes closed were the two closest to the central reservation.
Motorists have been facing 15 minute delays currently as rush hour approaches.
Conditions were expected to return to normal from 6pm.

Using a mobile phone..More than likely.
Asleep...could have.
Driving too fast...always!
There are many instances when alot of drivers just don't care when they get behind their wheel. They exit the motorways at the last second, without considering the three times 100yrd markers!, the lack of using their indicators is rife on our roads especially when changing lanes. The law should come down much harder on these irrisponsible drivers and educate them.
