Holmer Green cafe given a new look

AN independent cafe in Holmer Green which offers a range of caramel squares and brownies has a new look.

Caramel Square has been running for almost four years by Sarah Lurring and Catherine Wogel and has acquired a loyal customer base.

It sells breakfasts, lunches, drinks and a tempting array of cakes.

It has re-opened after undergoing a refurbishment with freshly decorated walls and a new floor.

Sarah said: "We have been getting a good reaction.

"We have some people that come in every single morning whether for a take away or to sit and relax.

"We are getting a lot more new faces.

"I think people are liking the whole independent thing rather than a chain coffee shop. "We do all our own baking."

But it hasn't been all plain sailing for the cafe who suffered two break-ins during the summer last year.

During one of the break-ins the burglars threw a panini machine on the floor, which smashed it.

Therefore they have had a new floor put in.

She said: "Because we were having the floor done and had to be shut we redecorated at the same time."

The coffee is fantastic, as is the food! Breakfasts, brownies, cakes - all absolutely delicious. The new decor is fab and provides comfortable warm surroundings. The best local coffee shop!
