THE future of Wilton Park is open for public consultation this week, with developers discussing with the possible uses for the Beaconsfield site.

The consultation will take place in the main hall at the Beaconsfield School on Thursday March 14 between 4.30 and 9pm and on Saturday March 18 between 10am and 4pm.

Inland Homes are working alongside the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, South Bucks District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council to draw up a development brief for the site.

Representatives from each will be available to answer questions on the plans.

Wilton Park is surplus to Defence requirements and available for development after the decision was made to move the Defence Languages School from the area.

The site has been identified within South Bucks District Council’s Core Strategy for a residentially-led mixed-use development.

A spokesperson from Inland Homes said it was important to get the views of local residents and listen to their suggestions for the site’s uses, as well as to gather opinions on the potential development.

All the details on the consultation can be found on www.wiltonparkfuture.com from March 14.
