TWO Princes Risborough men have been jailed for GBH and affray after a vicious attack at a New Year’s Eve Party.

Shane O’Neil, 21, and Scott Boland, 20, pleaded guilty and were sentenced on Tuesday at Oxford Crown Court.

Boland received four years and O’Neil was jailed for three years and seven months for the attack on a number of victims celebrating at a party in Ilmer, near Princes Risborough.

An altercation broke out at the house where many school-age pupils were welcoming in the new year, after which the men launched an assault using baseball bats, poles and golf clubs.

One victim was hit to the side of the head and lost part of his ear.

There was also significant damage to vehicles and the house itself during the attack.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kate Burton said: “This was a pre-meditated attack, where the pair left the property and returned with weapons.

“It was a nasty and sustained attack on innocent and young members of the public.

“We are pleased to see this pair brought to justice for their actions on that night.”
