JOIN television personality Fern Britton next Sunday for the Chiltern’s Cycle Challenge, which is raising funds for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.

Cyclists can choose between the 10km Aylesbury cycle way family ride or the more gruelling 75-mile route through the Chilterns on March 24.

Alternatively, they may join Fern on the 35-mile route as she shows her support for local patients and families affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Gillian Barret, Director of Fundraising and Marketing for the hospice, said: “Last year the Cycle Challenge raised a vital £40,000 towards the specialist care that we provide and we would love to beat that total this year.

“The Chilterns Cycle Challenge is one of our most popular events and we’re looking forward to seeing as many local people as possible.”

120 miles of signs will be put up along the route on March 21. Last year, over 40 miles were removed before the event and in order to avoid a repeat of that situation, Iain Rennie Grove House has reassured the local community that they will be taken down within 48 hours of the event.

Entry costs £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, which includes a medal and a t-shirt, or £20 for adults and £10 from children on the day at the starting and finishing point in Kingsbury Square, Aylesbury.

Online registration is open until midday on Friday at www.rennieway.org or it can be done over the phone by calling the fundraising team on 01442 820740.
