RESIDENTS in the Chiltern district will have the chance to quiz waste collectors over changes to recycling services at a series of roadshows throughout the month.

A joint agreement between Chiltern and Wycombe District Councils will see services being shared and changes to what can be recycled by the collection teams.

The changes come into effect in Chiltern in the summer and in Wycombe in the autumn after a contract worth £7million was signed between the two authorities.

Information packs have been sent out to residents explaining the changes, but a series of roadshows allowing people to meet the waste team, councillors and contractor Serco and ask questions are starting next weekend.

Councillor Peter Martin, Chiltern District Council's cabinet member for waste, said: "Local people are telling us that they like the information pack, find it useful and are looking forward to a much better recycling service in Chiltern. If you are able to attend, we look forward to seeing you at one of the roadshows in May."

If you have not received an information pack call 01494 586550 or email The information pack can also be viewed online at

New waste containers will be delivered to residents during June and July but they are being asked not to use them until advised to do so.
