Man stabbed in the hand in Stokenchurch attack
A MAN was stabbed in his hand in a late-night attack in Stokenchurch last week, police said today.
The victim, a 45-year-old man, was walking with a woman along Park Lane, leading to Longburrow Hall, at about midnight on Thursday, Aug 15, when a person approached him and stabbed him in the hand with an unknown weapon.
Police say the attacker, who was wearing dark clothing including a hooded top with the hood pulled over their face, ran off along Park Lane in the direction of Briarswood Close.
Investigating officer Det Con Suzie Price, of High Wycombe CID, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the incident and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.
“The victim suffered an injury to his hand which required treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or has information which could assist the investigation.”

- A 45-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have been released on bail until October 18.
