A MARLOW pub was hit by fire in the early hours of this morning, with firefighters rescuing a man from the building.
Crews from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue attended the scene at The Two Brewers in St Peter Street at about 2.16 am.
Firefighters said they rescued a man, uninjured, from the building and all other parties were accounted for.
They estimated that the roof and first floor of the pub were 80 per cent damaged by the fire, with water damage throughout the rest of the building.
An adjacent building also suffered smoke damage, firefighters said.
Tackling the blaze were one crew from Marlow, three from High Wycombe, two from Beaconsfield, one from Maidenhead, a Command and Control Unit and Specialist Equipment Vehicle from Aylesbury and an Operational Support Unit from Great Missenden.
