In pictures: Hollywood comes to Chalfont St Giles Show
THOUSANDS of people put on their glad rags on Saturday as the annual Chalfont St Giles Show took a Hollywood theme.
Families arrived at Stone Meadow in fancy dress as an estimated 6,000 people turned up for the popular annual event.
A Charlie Chaplin lookalike and tribute act Lardy and Haurel kept the vast crowds entertained throughout the day.
Organising committee chairman Rob Fowler said: "It was an extraordinary day again. It was an incredible turnout and there was something for everybody.
"The events went down very well - for us, it was a very happy show with a good atmosphere.
"The community arena was popular. It's a big attraction as it allows the local groups of various ages and sizes to perform in front of an audience.
"That was complimented by the larger attractions like the falconry and the dog show, which are always good crowd pullers."
Mr Fowler added: "It was good to see so many people embrace the theme and get dressed up."
