£200k more needed for watersports hub which will host Paralympic training
THE final push to raise cash for Marlow Rowing Club's new £2m centre has been aided by members who took part in a London to Windsor bike ride.
Another £200,000 is needed to complete the rebuild.
The team of rowers cycled through the capital to Berkshire on September 8, aiming to raise £1,000 towards the new Watersports Hub.
Ali Kenny, club spokesman, said: "The ride was great fun and a fantastic way to raise funds for the new boathouse and enable more people to take part in a range of watersports. Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters".
Amber Simon, who rows for the J17 girls squad said: " It was a long ride but very enjoyable and fun to do and it was exciting to be able to participate with the other girls to raise funds for my club. I am a bit sore afterwards but it was all worth it."
