Controversial Domino's Pizza plan for Marlow may go to public meeting
1:40pm Monday 16th September 2013 in News
A DECISION on controversial plans for a Pizza takeaway to open in Marlow town centre could be given to councillors to make at a public meeting.
Domino's wants to move into the now closed Blockbuster store in West Street, but the application has been met with a series of objections.
Wycombe District Council, the planning authority, told the Free Press that officials are preparing a report which will then go to councillors.
It is possible councillors may ask the plans to go before the planning committee, which sits in public to decide whether to allow applications to go through.
The applicant and opponents both get a chance to put forward their case at such meetings, before committee members vote.
Former WDC Leader Alex Collingwood, a Marlow councillor, has already written to planners, asking that it does go to the committee, rather than being decided under delegated powers by officers.
