Success for first Bledfest
ABOUT 400 people went to the first Bledfest on Saturday, where 22 bands played.
The festival in Bledlow was held to raise money for the redevelopment of the village's cricket club pavilion.
One of the organisers, William Furniss, said: "We had in the region of 400 people turn up, which for the first one is pretty good.
"All bands turned up and played their perfect slots."
There were 22 live bands, including MFU, The Dung Beatles, ProgFloyd, Bootlegger and Oli Wennink.
Refreshments were provided in the real ale tent, pavilion bar, tea bar and there was also a BBQ.
Mr Furniss added that they hope it will become an annual event. The weather stayed fine for them as well, with a dry day on the Saturday, he said.
