HS2 LTD has today said a community forum was brought to a close last night after a mock funeral cortege "prevented a meaningful discussion continuing".
Anti HS2 campaigners bearing a coffin with the words 'The Chilterns AONB RIP' arrived at the forum at Little Kingshill Village Hall at its scheduled closing time, 9pm.
Members of HS2 Ltd left the building as a result of their arrival.
A spokesman for HS2 Ltd said today: "Our staff should be able to do their jobs without intimidation or fear of physical harm. The Central Chilterns community was brought to a close due to an outside stunt that prevented a meaningful discussion continuing.
"We have always been very clear that we want to meet with local people to discuss the development of this vital project and that work will carry on."
