Drugs package found in High Wycombe
CRACK cocaine was discovered in a town centre alleyway during a routine police patrol.
The package was discovered by a sniffer dog that was patrolling the area around Desborough Road in High Wycombe with an officer at 2.45pm on Thursday, September 5.
It was found in an alleyway at the rear of the MoFro barbershop and subsequent testing has revealed it to be crack cocaine. Police have today launched an appeal for information.
Investigating officer PC Nicola Chantrelle said: "Incidents of this type are extremely unusual. If you have any information about the drugs that were found then please contact police as soon as possible."
MoFro’s owner Ken Louis distanced his barbers from the incident and said police had not informed him or other businesses of the discovery.
He added the alleyway in which the package was found is publically accessible and he is unable to prevent people from walking along it.
Anyone with information should contact PC Chantrelle on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestopeprs-uk.org.
