Fresh appeal to help find man missing from High Wycombe
POLICE have today re-launched an appeal to help find a man who has not been seen for nearly a fortnight.
Gareth Bowers was last seen on September 5 and has been officially missing for more than a week, although officers are confident he is still in the south Bucks area.
An appeal to help find the 54-year-old from High Wycombe was launched last week, and officers have now made a fresh appeal for information.
He is described as 5ft 11ins tall, of medium to large build, with thinning grey hair and brown eyes. It is thought he was wearing a sports type waterproof Fred Perry jacket when he went missing and there is a possibility he may have a bag or carry case with him.
Inspector Morland from High Wycombe Police Station said: "Our focus is to ensure Gareth is safe and well. Understandably Gareth’s family are also really concerned given the time he has been missing.
"Following enquires and the assistance of the local community and media we are confident Gareth is currently in the Buckinghamshire area, and we believe he may have recently visited the Hughendon Valley area near to the Harrow Public House, Bryants Bottom, and also High Wycombe town centre.
"I would like to ask people who live in these areas, who are out walking about or driving around, to keep an eye out for Gareth and call us if you can provide information on his whereabouts.
"I would also like to directly appeal to Gareth to please make contact with us. Your safety and wellbeing is our main priority."
Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting reference URN 837 of 13/9.
