Lane End barbers gains accreditation
A LANE End barbers is the first in Bucks to win an official accreditation from a national trade body.
The Gateway Barbers in the High Street has gained accreditation with the British Barbers Association.
Director Laura Ogle, 31, said: "The British Barbers Association was started up to three to four years ago as an inititative to try and combat unqualified barbers charging not much and then pricing out trained hairdressers."
The association makes sure staff are fully qualified, the hairdressers is properly insured and checks customer service.
Laura, who has two children, with husband, Greg, added: "It is making sure the customers are getting what they expect."
The barbers will have been open a year on October 8, so Laura is thrilled to be the 81st barbers in the country to be given the accrediation.
She added: "If I can make it work in a sleepy little village in the middle of a recession I hope to be here for many years to come."
