Newsround presenter to give talk in Chesham
BBC Newsround presenter Nelufar Hedayat will be the special guest at an event to celebrate diversity and healthy living in Chesham this weekend.
The Afghanistan-born newsreader will give a talk at the 'Supercharged!' event on Saturday evening at the Chiltern Hills Academy.
The event has been organised jointly by the Academy, in Chartridge Lane, and the International Women of Chiltern group.
Mahuya Kanjilal, the chair of International Women of Chiltern, said: "The aim of the event is to bring the women of our area together to learn, laugh and eat. There is so much we can learn from each other, and so much we can share to make life enjoyable.
"Having Nelufar along to make our keynote speech is a real honour - it will be fascinating to hear her experiences of moving so far from her home, as well as getting the inside scoop on her work on Newsround."
As well as the keynote speech from Miss Hedayat, a number of other speakers and different stands will be offering advice on diet, healthy living, personal safety and zumba exercise. It is a chance to meet others in a relaxed way and to share food together.
The event takes place from 6.30-9pm on Saturday, September 28. Admission is £3 per person, which includes food, and tickets can be booked in advance by emailing email@example.com
