A CONSULTATION of Chilterns residents over the botched HS2 compensation package will take place in Great Missenden next week.

HS2 Ltd were ordered to re-run their consultation process after a High Court judge ruled the original one was "so unfair as to be unlawful".

The new consultation runs until December 4 and officials will be running a number of events to give residents information.

HS2 Ltd's Head of Consultation Farahnaz Ashouri said: "This consultation is a crucial step forward for the project, and we would like to encourage as many people as possible to consider this important new set of proposals and provide their feedback before December 4."

The first event in South Bucks takes place at the Missenden Abbey Conference Centre in Great Missenden from 12-8pm on Tuesday, October 15. Another takes place at the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall from 12-8pm on Tuesday 29.

Before then the Great Missenden stopHS2 group will be holding events to let people know about the implications of the proposals.

There will be an 'HS2 Compensation - what's it all about?' event at Origins in Great Missenden High Street from 5-8pm on Monday 14 and 9am-3pm on Tuesday 15th to find out more.

A public meeting giving an update on the project will take place at Little Missenden Village Hall from 5-7pm on Sunday, October 20.
