Export events to help businesses in Bucks
A SERIES of events aiming to help businesses in Bucks learn more about exporting will get underway at Saunderton this week.
Buckinghamshire Business First, in association with UK Trade and Investment, is holding the events which are titled ‘Simply Exporting’ and are designed to raise awareness of how exporting can benefit businesses.
The first event, entitled ‘Introduction to Exporting’, will take place on Thursday, October 17, It will include a brief introduction BBF First, practical advice and tips from UKTI and presentations from successful exporters who will share their stories.
Philippa Batting, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First, hopes that this event will help to show local companies how exporting can help them successfully grow their businesses.
She said: “Studies have shown that companies which export improve their productivity, achieve levels of growth that aren’t possible domestically, increase the lifespan of their products and increase the return on investment in R&D. This evidence clearly demonstrates the benefits of exporting.
“The event is designed to dispel some of the misconceptions about exporting and show that for businesses of all sizes, it is an option worth exploring.”
‘Introduction to Exporting’ takes place on Thursday, October 17, at The Clare Charity Centre in Saunderton. Registration is at 8.30am and the event will run until 10.30am.
