Council teams called to fallen trees in over 100 places across Bucks
TRANSPORT for Bucks has responded to reports of fallen trees in more than 100 locations since 6am this morning.
Eight teams have been dealing with severe weather call-outs this morning after a storm hit the area.
They expect to be involved in the clear-up operation throughout the day and are being assisted by their supply chain partners, Salcey and South Bucks tree surgeons.
A road at Willow Bank, Denham, where a tree fell on telephone lines, has been closed for safety reasons.
The Met Office said winds across Bucks were at their severest between 6am and 7am, with gusts of up to 56mph.
Wind speeds reduced to around 34mph by 9am and speeds of between 15mph and 18mph were being forecast for the rest of the day.
