Fireworks displays for south Bucks 2013

THE skies of south Bucks will once more be lit up by a host of Fireworks events over the coming weeks as preperations get underway to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night.
Here is a run-down of the explosive events taking place.

Friday, November 1
CHESHAM United FC, Amy Lane. Bar and gates open at 6pm, display at 7.30pm. Entrance £6 for adults, £4 for under 16s and free for children under five. A family ticket for two adults and two under 16s costs £18.
CRYERS HILL- Bonfire and fireworks in field corner of Missenden Road and Cockpit Road. Organised by the Great Kingshill Residents Association with gates opening at 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm. Tickets are £5 (or £15 for four if bought in advance) from Spar or Cryers Hill Post Office. Or £5 at the gate on the night.
Saturday, November 2
BEACONSFIELD – The annual event by the Beaconsfield Round Table returns to Beaconsfield Cricket Club.Gates open at 6pm, with the huge bonfire to be lit at 7.10pm. A fireworks display launches at 7.45pm. As well as a barbeque and other hot food, there will be a licensed beer tent and mulled wine bar. Tickets cost £5, with under 5s going free. Family tickets (2 adults and 3 children) are available for £20, and advance tickets are available for a reduced rate.
CHESHAM - Latimer Park, Latimer Road, near Chesham. Gates open 6.30pm, display ends at 9pm. Tickets £8 for adults and £5 for children. Call 01494 764342 for details.
COOKHAM - Cookham Scouts Group presents its Annual Grand Firework Display and Bonfire at Formosa Meadow, Mill Lane. Gates open 5.30pm and the bonfire lighting is at 6.30pm, fireworks shortly after at 7pm. Refreshments for sale. Free Parking but walk if you can. No sparklers or personal fireworks please. The field will be closed off until early October to prevent too much wood being delivered. Solid wood only please for bonfire, no brushwood, hedge trimmings or grass cuttings.
COOKHAM DEAN - Cookham Dean Family Bonfire and Fireworks Party sponsored by Sanctum on the Green. Gates open 5pm. Event runs till 9pm on Cookham Dean Village Green. Attractions include bar, hot dogs, fair rides and traditional Lantern Parade. Event in aid of Cookham Dean Village Club, Cookham Dean School PTA and Noah's Ark pre-school.
FLACKWELL HEATH - A double fireworks display takes place at the sports field on Chapel Road (near the Scouts HQ). Gates open at 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.45pm. After a small, pretty fireworks display for the smaller children, a second, bigger display will follow. Tickets cost £5 in advance, and £7 on the day. The event, with a licensed bar and barbecue, is a joint effort by Carrington and Juniper Hill Schools and Flackwell Heath Scout Group.
GREAT MISSENDEN - Great Missenden C of E School, Church Street. Gates open at 5.30pm. and there will be Fairground rides, family entertainment, food stalls, tombola and licensed bar serving wine, beer, real ale and soft drinks. Advance family tickets £15, £20 on the gate, individual tickets also available from Samways Newsagents, Café Twit or the school office Free parking at Great Missenden Railway Station, HP16 9AZ, courtesy of Chiltern Railways.
HIGH WYCOMBE Roundtable Fireworks 2013 at Four Ashes field. Gates open at 5pm, with the lighting of the bonfire at 6pm and fireworks at 6.30pm. £20 for cars, £6 on foot. Tickets are available from High Wycombe Information Centre in the library in the Eden shopping centre and other shops around the town. For more information visit www.hwrt.org NAPHILL- A grand fireworks display on The Crick. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with the firework display at 7pm. Tickets in advance from the local shops and pubs- adults £5, children £1.50. On the day it will be £7 for adults and children £2. Under twos go free. No sparklers please.
PRESTWOOD - Wren Davis Field, Wycombe Road. Gates open at 6.15pm, bonfire lighting ceremony at 7pm. Single tickets £4, family tickets £9 in advance available from JNP Estate Agents Prestwood, Prestwood Post Office, Spar Great Kingshill and Samways Great Missenden. Tickets on the gate are £5 for a single or £12 for a family. Refreshments on sale. Proceeds to local scout groups.
SPEEN- Bonfire and fireworks at 5.30pm at the playing fields.
STUDLEY Green- Stokenchurch Scouts and Guides are having their annual firework display at Studley Green Community Centre. Bonfire lighting at 6.30 pm, fireworks at 7pm. Ticket price- adults £5, children £3.
Sunday, November 3
BLEDLOW Ridge- At the field next to The Boot, Chinnor Road, Bledlow Ridge. Gates open at 4pm, bonfire lit at 5pm and fireworks at 6pm. Bought in advance tickets are £5 for an adult, £3 for children and £14 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). Under threes go free. On the night tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children and £22 for a family. The Boot will have refreshments available onsite and the pub will be open.
HOLTSPUR - At Holtspur School, Cherry Tree Road, there will be a family fireworks display designed especially for primary school-aged children. Mulled wine and hot dogs available; also bar and snacks. Tickets: adult £4.50 (£5.50 on the gate); children over 3: £3.50 (£4.50 on the gate). Tickets sold out last year, so please buy in advance to avoid disappointment! Tickets available from Holtspur and High March school offices, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tuesday, November 5
DOWNLEY Torchlight Procession and bonfire on Downley Common. No fireworks allowed, torchlights go on sale at 6.30pm next to the bus shelter in Commonside.
MARLOW: The ever popular fireworks display at Foxes Piece School returns for 2013. Gates open at 6pm, and tickets are bought on the night – costing £6.00 for adults and £3.00 for children. There there will be food , refreshments, licensed bar and children’s fairground rides.
Friday, November 8
AMERSHAM: Amersham and Chiltern Rugby Club, Ash Grove, Weedon Lane, Amersham. Bonfire lit 6.15pm, fireworks start 6.45pm
Saturday, November 9
PENN- Fireworks display at 7.30pm and bonfire lit at 7pm. Gates open at 6pm. Organised by The Friends of Penn School- it is held at the school. There will be BBQ and mulled wine.
CHALFONT ST GILES - Magic in the Sky 2013, Stone Meadow. Gates open at 5:45pm, bonfire lit at 6.15pm, fireworks begin at 7pm. Adult tickets £7 in advance, under 16s £4, under 3s free. Prices on the gate a pound dearer. For full details go to www.chalfont-fireworks.org.uk
CHESHAM BOIS - Elangeni School Field, Woodside Avenue. Gates open at 5.30pm, display starts at 6.30pm. Refreshments including mulled wine and hot dogs available from 5.30pm. Adult tickets £5 in advance (£6 on the gate) and £3 (£4 on the gate) for children over the age of three. No dogs, personal fireworks or sparklers please.
MARLOW BOTTOM – Burford School Fireworks Extravaganza, running from 5.30pm – 8.30pm, with fireworks at approx. 7pm. There will be lots of stalls including doughnuts, sweets, barbecue, bar and fairground rides. Adults £6, Child (4-12) £5, Family (2+2) £20 in advance, on the gate Adults £7, Child £6.
