Tom Kerridge delights fans at book signing
A POPULAR celebrity chef took time out from his busy schedule to sign his latest cook book for fans.
Tom Kerridge from the Hand and Flowers in Marlow went to the Horizons Book Shop in Burnham High Street.
He signed copies of his book, Proper Pub Food, which accompanied a BBC2 series which finished this week.
Ian Fletcher, who owns the shop with his wife, Fiona, said: "It went brilliantly. We had about 140 people turn up.
"Tom was supposed to be here for an hour but he spent an hour and a half here.
"He's a really nice guy. He was chatting with everyone- having photos taken and all that.
"We sold 120 copies on Saturday and had 20 copies saved for people who couldn't make it."
Ian said as the chef is so easy to talk and relaxed- people didn't get too star struck.
He added: "Tom really just got stuck into it."
The bookshop is holding a dinner with Jeremy Paxman on November 15 at The Crowne Plaza in Marlow at 7pm.
He will be talking about his latest book, Great Britain’s Great War. There will be a two course meal, a welcome drink and tea and coffee.
Tickets are £40 from the shop on 01628 662121.
