A LIFT with an Olympic legend is being offered up as Marlow Rowing Club continues its quest for the £2million plus it needs to cover the costs of the new Watersports Hub.

Sir Steve Redgrave, the president of the club, will chauffeur the two lucky people who bid successfully on an auction prize he has offered.

The winners will get to go to a recording of BBC television show A Question of Sport in Manchester.
They will be driven by the five times gold medallist from Marlow.

The auction closes today at noon when the highest bidder will be notified. Bidding will start at £300.

Meanwhile, another key club figure, Chris Lenton and the River Church Band are putting on a concert of essentially Bob Dylan songs with and mixture of blues and additional material by Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Paul Simon.

The concert to raise cash for the club will take place on November 29 at The Royal British Legion Station Approach, Marlow, from 8pm for 8.30pm start.
