THE family of two young brothers and their aunt, who died in a tragic car crash on the M6 in Staffordshire on Christmas Day 2012, have issued a family statement following the inquest into their deaths.

Bushra Tazarib, aged 32, Mohammed Arsalaan Habib, aged 4, and Adnan Habib, aged 10, all from High Wycombe, died on after a collision on the northbound exit slip road of the motorway at junction 15, near Stoke-on-Trent.

The brothers, both pupils at Hughenden Valley Primary School, had been in the car with their aunt, sister and mother, on their way to a family wedding in Bolton.

The family issued this statement:

“On the 25 December 2012 we lost three beautiful souls.

"We as a family are still coming to terms with the events of this day and today’s hearing, although hard to bear, has helped to get some clarity into the tragic circumstances that led to the loss of Adnan, Arsalaan and Bushra.

“We are extremely grateful for the professionalism of all the emergency services and the staff at University Hospital of North Staffordshire who dealt with the events of the day with great compassion and dignity, thank you.

“Our sincere thanks go to our police liaison officer, PC Phil Hanham, who has supported the family by guiding us over the past year.

“We would like to say a special thank you to the staff, pupils, parents and governors of Hughenden Valley Primary School.

"They have been a rock for Parveen and us all through the past year. We feel so blessed that Adnan and Arsalaan went to such a wonderful school. They continue to support us on a day to day basis.

“We look forward to visiting the school and sitting in the Peace Garden that has been created to honour the memory of our beautiful boys.

“Finally, we are grateful to the media for respecting our privacy since the accident.”
