How long been going there? I first started going there when I was an A level student. Back then it was called 'Stag & Hounds'. People used to go there from everywhere even though it is situated in a small village most of the people would be going there from all over the maidenhead & Marlow area.

What made you go back? I hadn't been there for many years but a few months ago returned because I was booked to do children's entertainment at a family event. I noticed they had great food, super facilities and very friendly. It also brought back memories of when I used to go there with my friends from what was then Windsor college (now east Berkshire college).

What drink do you normally have? I usually only drink fruit juices or coffee or Red Bull as I always have to drive. This was also true of when I used to go as a student since the pub was so far from where we all lived and at the time I was the only one of my friends who could drive and had access to a car I wouldn't drink alcohol then either as I was usually the driver then too.

Do you have a regular spot? I don't sit anywhere in particular as there is food so we tend to sit at a dinning table that is available but in the winter near the fireplace and in the summer outside by the pool or the playground is lovely.

Do pubs have a place still? Yes most certainly, most pubs are now fairly family friendly and provide lovely food, many are a great stage for bands and performers to practice and do some paid work and lots of pubs do quiz nights and charity events so I do think that they are part of today's society and it is essential in order for communities to have some kind of togetherness that places like pubs are supported to survive and not permitted to be closed down and turned into supermarkets or apartment blocks. Pubs are a great place to meet your friends, make new ones, listen to what people's opinions are and have a laugh.
