CHILTERN Railways has announced that it will be providing extra seats on key weekday evening services to High Wycombe and Aylesbury from this week until the day before Christmas Eve to make it easier for passengers travelling back from Christmas parties.
Thomas Ableman, Commercial Director at Chiltern Railways said: "We recognise that lots of people will want to enjoy the season’s festivities so we’ve added over 14,000 seats in total on key evening services to meet the demand."
This comes after the train operator’s recent announcement that they will be trial running trains between Bicester North and London on Boxing Day for the first time. Chiltern is also waiving car park charges on December 26 at open stations.
The revised seating came into effect today and will continue until Monday, December 23.
Passengers can book tickets from the website or by downloading the app which is available via the app store or by texting ‘Chiltern’ to 88600.
