Beaconsfield Festival of Lights returns tonight
TONIGHT sees the return of one of Beaconsfield’s best-loved occasions as the Festival of Lights arrives to provide a Christmas sparkle.
Laser light displays and a night-time opening for Bekonscot Model Village will be just two of the attractions at the town’s annual festive event.
The festival will boast the usual mix of a procession through the streets, a Father Christmas, Carol singing on the council green, performances on stage, fairground rides and a mix of stalls.
The new laser show is being sponsored by Sunrise of Beaconsfield, while the model village, which donates all its profits to charity, will be reducing its admission charges for the night to £6 per adult, £4.50 per child and £20 for a family of four.
As well as the illuminated model village, a Father Christmas will also be in residence for the evening.
The Lantern Procession will start at the Sunrise building at 7pm, and there will be a Punch and Judy show on Gregories Road.
Budding young business brains of the future will also be on full display n a Young Enterprise Village made of stalls run by companies formed by pupils from schools in the area.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Beaconsfield and sponsored by a number of businesses including De Marsac The Jewellers, Brindley House Childcare Centre, Basmati Indian Restaurant, Oxygen Hair and Universal Care, will run from 6pm to 8.30pm.
