A KEEN biker hopped on his wheels with his daughter to spread a little festive cheer.

Terry Goodall and his daughter, Claire, left a village near High Wycombe on Sunday morning on his BMW motorbike.

They met up with other members of the Matchless Owners Club in Maidenhead before travelling in convoy to join the Toy Run in Reading.

Thousands of bikers then rode between Foster Wheeler car park in Shinfield and the Barnado’s charity’s High Close School in Wokingham.

It is run by Reading Christian Motorcyclists and toys and gifts - all donated by the bikers themselves - will be distributed to underprivileged and vulnerable children throughout the UK who are in Barnardo’s care.

Terry said: "It was excellent. The best year ever from feedback I was getting from bikers and organisers.

"There were between four and 5,000 bikes. There is a lot of public participation."

This is the third year Terry has taken part and the second for Claire. The event has been running for 28 years.
