A PARISH council will not receive an insurance pay out for money taken by a former clerk.
Hughenden Parish Council was hoping to be able to claim back some of the £28,200, which was taken by Lynne Turner over a nine month period when she was clerk.
But the council has been told this will not be possible.
Mrs Turner has been given an extension to pay back £12,387.89 through a confiscation order.
She had a deadline to pay the money by November 17 but this has been extended to December 18.
Mrs Turner was sentenced to nine months in prison in February after being found guilty of ten counts of fraud. She has now been released.
