Timid Angel who was used on a puppy farm needs a new home
A DOG who was used continuously on a puppy farm has been rescued and is now looking for a new home.
Angel is in kennels at Stokenchurch Dog Rescue after nine years on a Welsh farm as a "puppy machine" producing umpteen offspring, which were then sold.
She is a small Bichon Frise who has been passed to the rehoming centre by a dog warden and is recovering in the kennels.
SDR spokesman Geoff Perfitt said: "She’s suffering from stress after all her tough years as a puppy machine and now we want to find her a very quiet home, only with adults and with a patient good dog she could learn normal life from.
"With a name like that as we reach Christmas it would be great if we can find her somewhere heavenly to spend the rest of her days."
He added: "She wants someone who knows about her background and will give her lots of love and attention to help her trust people and realise that life can be enjoyable and worthwhile. Overall, she’s been badly treated and callously used, just to bring in money for the unscrupulous."
Anyone interested in offering a home to Angel this Christmas should contact Alan Durrant, SDR’s welfare manager, or his deputy Nicola Dillon on 01494 482695.
